45 year old man with family history of colonic cancer. After a colonoscopy was performed, pancolectomy was recommended.
The colorectal mucosa is covered by a carpet of sessile and pedunculated polyps ranging from <0.5 cm to 1.5 cm in size. Some of the polyps have raspberry-like surfaces with no ulceration or haemorrhage.
No suspicious malignant tumour is discernible grossly.
