60 year old woman with post-menopausal spotting and post-coital bleeding.
The uterus has been bisected saggitally (along the midline). The atrophic uterus shows a pale, fleshy, circumferential, fungating growth with invasive borders in the uterine cervix. The tumour is ulcerated and haemorrhagic. It has extended superiorly into the endocervix but does not involve the endometrium or vaginal fornices.
